Care has the power to make a life-changing impact on those affected by mental health conditions. Through our own words and actions, we can shift the social and systemic barriers that prevent people from building better lives. At CPNP 2020, the CPNP Foundation wants all attendees to show how #cpnpcares.

Spread the Word

Prior to and at CPNP 2020, the Foundation will be distributing shareable messages and social media campaigns. Share these messages with all of your friends and colleagues to demonstrate how caring can make all of the difference for an individual living with mental illness

Help the Dallas Homeless

The CPNP Foundation is coordinating the assembly of toiletry kits for The Bridge, a multi-service organization that offers basic needs services along with access to physical and behavioral health care for the homeless. Here is how you can show how you care:

  • Donate items for the kits. From now until April 1, you may purchase items from our Amazon Wishlist to be included in the toiletry kits. After April 1, you may compile items to bring with you in your suitcase to contribute! Items needed include small sizes of shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes (individually wrapped) and toothpaste. From April 26-28, drop off the items at the Foundation tables during CPNP 2020.
  • Donate money to increase the number of kits. Our goal is to assemble as many kits as possible! The CPNP Foundation will be contributing items for toiletry kits, but we need your help to increase our impact. From now until April 1, money can be donated online. Please add “CPNP 2020 Kits” to the order comments to ensure that the funds are allocated to this project.
  • Write encouraging notes. We will be adding a note of encouragement to each toiletry kit. Supplies will be available at the Foundation table during CPNP 2020 while they last.
  • Assemble toiletry kits. Swing by the Foundation tables during CPNP 2020 and assemble a few toiletry kits. An assembly station will be available Sunday, April 26 through Tuesday, April 28. Join us Wednesday, April 29 from 7:00-8:00 AM to assemble all remaining kits that will later be delivered to The Bridge.

Show How You Care

“Why Care?” t-shirts are available for all individuals donating at least $25. Reserve your size by donating online by the early registration deadline, March 26, 2020. T-shirt sizes requested after March 26 cannot be guaranteed and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Half of all donations will be allocated to the CPNP Foundation to cover costs and the other half will be matched by CPNP and donated to NAMI.
