The CPNP Foundation’s Defining the Future Research Grant Program is an annual grant for students and residents interested in psychiatric and neurologic pharmacy, including those who are members of CPNP student chapters. This is an excellent opportunity to receive funding for a research project that will define the future and improve the care of patients with psychiatric and neurologic disorders.

There is still time to submit an application by August 31, 2016. Research projects must focus on one of the current interests of the foundation. For 2016 those are: 1) stigma associated with psychiatric disorders and 2) comprehensive medication management as a best practice.

Applicants selected will receive grant funding up $1500 to support research. To share the results, research must be submitted as a poster abstract for consideration to present during the CPNP 2017 Annual Meeting at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona, April 23-26, 2017. Accepted poster abstracts will be eligible to apply for the CPNP Foundation Strategic Goals Award of $500 for the best poster addressing the current interests of the Foundation.

Applications for the grant must be submitted through the online application by August 31, 2016; recipients will be announced October 1.
